September 13, 2025 - Project Self-Sufficiency Fall Classic
The third and final Grayfields Polo Club and NJ Polo™ charity event of the 2025 season was the Project Self-Sufficiency Fall Classic, which took place at Grayfields Polo Club on Sept. 13.
Proceeds from this event benefitted Project Self-Sufficiency, a non-profit organization based in Sussex County, which has assisted individuals and families in gaining self-sufficiency through a myriad of empowering programs, since 1986.
“Thank you, NJ Polo for hosting the Project Self-Sufficiency Polo Classic at the beautiful Grayfields Polo Grounds!” the organization wrote here on its Facebook Page, while sharing a video of divot stompers enjoying the halftime tradition under the picturesque blue sky. “We appreciate you!”
The organization gave special mention to Air Force Veteran Gianna Perez for singing the National Anthem, then to Carol and Gary Kraemer of the Pro Tempos for providing entertainment within the VIP tent, and to Mike Lawlor Banned for the after-party entertainment. They gave additional thanks to Andre and Tracey de Waal of Andre’s Lakeside Dining, and Marty Kester and students from the Sussex County Community College Culinary Institute, for serving delectable cuisine that rounded out the VIP experience.
“We are grateful for our friends from First Hope Bank and Lakeside Construction for sponsoring the teams during the first ever Project Self-Sufficiency Polo Classic,” Project Self-Sufficiency added here.
Among the other special happenings during the day were the best hat and best tailgate competitions, silent auction, and naming the match’s MVP and Best Playing Pony.
Official sponsors for the Polo Classic included Mercedes-Benz of Newton, First Hope Bank, Acrisure®, Provident Bank®, Franklin Mutual Insurance, Lakeside Construction Company Inc., Nisivoccia, AmeriHealth, Fairclough Realtors®, Whistle Pig Whiskey, Techflex®, and Hudson Farm.
