If you would like some additional context:
Often the forecast changes last minute, and it would be a bummer to cancel if we didn't have to. Rain on Saturday is worse than rain on Sunday for playing polo. The players can play through the rain during the match; in many cases, the more significant factor is how wet the field is from prior rainfall the night or day before. Think of the field as a giant sponge; it can only take so much water before it becomes saturated and thus too slippery for safe play. So if there is rain in the forecast, but the field is still dry, we will play on. The Pony bar will have amazing cocktails, and the food trucks are aplenty, so bring your friends and have a fun day at Grayfields Polo Club.
